Structural Engineer
Job Description:
Detail-oriented, reliable, creative team player to lead field evaluations of industrial structures, analyze data, evaluate root cause of failure, complete analytical modeling, and calculations, develop engineered rehabilitation/replacement plans & specifications.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
•Lead field evaluation of existing structures
•Develop calculations and analytical models in steel, concrete, and other materials
•Lead the design of structural rehabilitation and/or replacement plans
•Specify materials, lead the development of reports
•Technical support for structural construction
•Client interface, proposal and estimate development
Minimum Qualifications:
•Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil / Structural Engineering
•Experience: Min Yr = 7 Max Yr = 10+
•Licensure: P.E. Required, S.E. (IL) Required
•Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of STAAD/SAP, AISC, AISC, AWS required
Familiarity with AutoCAD preferred
•Management: Client interface and team mentoring experience preferred
•Other Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills
