REQUIREMENTS -

Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
-
5-15 years of experience performing basic engineering analysis and design functions.

PE license preferred
-
Project experience in any of chemicals, refining, agribusiness, food, pharma/bio, oil and gas.

Experience in pressure relief analysis and flare system design and documentation.
-
Process flow drawing (PFD) and P&ID development experience preferred.

Experience in the design of process equipment (vessels, pumps, exchangers, fired heaters/equipment, compressors) specifications.

Ability to perform heat exchanger design calculation.
-
Working knowledge of API 520/521 and ASME codes.
-
Process steady state modeling experience (HYSYS, AspenPlus, etc.).
-
Hydraulic modeling experience (AFT Fathom, AFT Arrow, etc.) preferred.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail abilities.

Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities for project efficiency.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
DESCRIPTION
As an Industrial Lead Process Engineer you will collect and prepare data/information and perform detailed engineering calculations. The Industrial Lead Process Engineer will also perform engineering design and analysis on complex or unique problems and will coach/develop less experienced engineers, designers, and drafters. The Industrial Lead Process Engineer will demonstrate technical/professional growth annually by maintaining active membership in professional organizations and participating in technical seminars/courses.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Collect and prepare data/information, perform detailed engineering calculations, and write formal engineering/technical reports.
- Develop technical specifications and data sheets, perform technical evaluation of bids, and recommend best value design which meets client requirements for operability, reliability, maintainability, and safety.
- Provide field leadership work by checking installations and problem-solving activities.
- Perform calculation checking and vendor drawing reviews.
- Serve as a Project Lead for more complex projects by estimating work hours, developing scope of work, making staffing recommendations, and checking project deliverables prior to issuance.
- Interact with other departments and suppliers to obtain pertinent information.
