Electrical Designer
Under supervision, the Electrical Designer designs and develops drawings for electrical circuits and detailed panel layouts for power distribution and control systems. Assists engineers with design of electrical systems for complex projects including detailed drawings and supporting documentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Contributes to proposal and contract-related deliverables and documentation.
• Assists in maintaining departmental tools and guidelines.
• Supports estimates for proposals in accordance with established guidelines.
• Travel as required to meet proposal and project objectives (5 to 10%).
Required Education and Skills:
• Associate or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in an Electrical Design role required.
• AutoCAD experience required.
• Plant 3D experience a plus.
• Familiarity with NEC (NFPA 70), UL 508A, NFPA 101 a plus.
• Proven initiative, time management, organizational skills, and ability to execute in an environment with concurrent commitments.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software.
Essential Physical Abilities:
• Ability to travel 5 to 10% of the time to meet proposal and project objectives.
• Ability to stand or sit at a desk using a computer 80% of the time.
