Document Control Specialist
The Document Control Specialist is a key team member for both company and our clients. The DCS will be responsible for helping us establish a document control management system, so the ideal candidate is driven and excited to inspire change within an organization. This role is client-facing, so being able to adapt communication between engineering and the client is critical. The DCS will be part of a strong team who are natural solution-providers to others.- Manage the implementation of document control system.
- Set-up folder structure within the document control system.
- Work collaboratively with the client and design/construction partners to understand the files that will be turned over.
- Once system is set-up, manage team to collect and organize the documentation.
- Once developed, this role will manage the document control system at the client site.
- Help the client establish and maintain document control SOPs.
- Ensure documents are secure and compliant and follow Company and Client standards.
- Ensure revision and border compliance.
- Prepare reports on progress and documents as requested.
- Conduct document management of electronic and/or physical files for distribution, which may include converting between different software packages.
- Ensure documents are secure, compliant, and that all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
- Prepare reports on progress and documents as requested.
- Train, coach, and develop other stakeholders and team members on proper document control best practices.
- BA/BS in engineering, construction or equivalent
- 10+ years experience
- AutoCAD Construction Cloud (ACC) or equivalent document database systems
- Ability to forecast and manage budget and efforts to execute document control on a project.
- Strong knowledge of engineering document control standards.
- Understanding of construction plans and diagrams.
- Extreme attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to adapt communication for various audiences.
- Demonstrated work ethic, integrity, and professional conduct.
