BIM Designer Lead

Act as a technical lead for a team of BIM Designers to coordinate architectural, civil, structural and MEP plans, elevations, and details. Prepare construction documents including CAD and BIM modeling of plans, components and connections and production and erection reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead junior Designers in preparing required documents in CAD or BIM
• Work on prospects for sales developing presentations using Revit, Tekla or other 3D modeling platforms
• Meet task deadlines and adhere to budgeted hours
• Participate in external/in-house seminars and training activities/sessions
• Participate in the development of in-house processes, checklists and standards

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in BIM Design with Junior College, Associates or Technical College Degree

• 3+ years experience in BIM Design with Bachelor’s in Architectural, Civil, Industrial, Structural Engineering, Architecture or similar
• Proficiency in CAD and BIM software including AutoCAD, Revit and Tekla or equivalent
• Ability to:

  • Organize, plan, and perform team tasks effectively
  • Read and interpret technical and construction documents
  • Continuously strive to advance skills with effort inside and outside office
  • Back check team’s work and strive for quality
  • Desire to learn open source programming; Application Programming Interface using C# (C-Sharp)
  • Interest in learning and developing Apps for in-house use
